Welcome to Château Lamothe de Haux! Just 30 minutes from Bordeaux, our family vineyard opens its doors all year round for guided tours of our troglodyte cellars and wine tastings. Whether with family, friends, or as part of a group, come discover our history and winemaking process, and share a memorable moment over a glass.
Château Lamothe has been a family property passed from mother to daughter since 1956. While its roots lie in wine making, the vineyard has diversified its activities. We now produce wine-based cocktails, devote some parcels to truffle farming, and welcome guests in our rural cottage since 2019.
You will be warmly received in this charming château nestled within our family vineyard, overlooking a wooded valley and the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards.
Dive into the vineyard’s past by exploring its troglodytes quarries. Deposited by the sea 30 million years ago, the limestone was mined in the 17th century to create over 8 km of galleries. Today, they serve as true aging cellars. We welcome you daily (by reservation) to visit the subterranean passages followed by a tasting of our wines and cocktails.
An unforgettable visit to a place rich in history and anecdotes.
Winegrowers for over 70 years, our family puts all its know‑how and high standards at the service of our wines’ quality. Located in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, we now produce a diversified range of wines, with each cuvée crafted with the utmost care.
A graduate of a design school, Valentine offers to personalize your wine bottles for your special moments. Choose your cuvées from our range and create a label in your image. The bonus: no minimum order!
LA GOGUETTE
Goguettes are cocktails made with wines from Château Lamothe de Haux. Low in alcohol, naturally flavored, and sparkling, they’re ideal drinks for the aperitif. Launched in 2024, the range currently includes two versions: a white‑wine mojito‑style and a red‑wine version flavored with citrus.
The story begins in 2020, with vine parcels converted into a truffle orchard. In 2024, a promising first harvest arrived. The Courcouyac Truffle has since become Lamothe’s treasure—best discovered and enjoyed especially during the end‑of‑year holidays.
